I am so proud of my friends Jordan and Max. Jordan is off to the Marshall Islands to teach with WorldTeach and Max is off to South Africa with the Peace Corps. I have cherished these last few days with them so much – enjoying food with friends and family, laughing, singing, dancing… here’s to watching the mailbox, and to having two really good reasons to start printing and mailing out my photographs again.

I was happy to enjoy a traditional fourth of July weekend of eating, sleeping, and playing outdoors with my family. Every time we observe this tradition I find myself asking why we don’t do things like this more often. As far as family outings go, it’s hard to beat frisbee, fishing, burgers and boat rides…

I was really excited to capture Ashley and Robert’s wedding last weekend out at Thunderbird Chapel. The location is incredible, and the wedding coordinators did a really great job getting everything and everyone where they needed to be to make things run smoothly. A beautiful bride, a nervous groom, and a room full of supportive friends and family, many of whom were moved to tears by the ceremony. So much happiness in one day! Congratulations, Ashley and Robert…

Leah and I got together the other day to take some graduation portraits for her family. She’s an old friend of mine so it was great to catch up with her and enjoy a perfect spring evening on OU’s beautiful campus. She was a great model with a great smile, and we both had a lot of fun walking around campus. Congrats to her for graduating, and also for landing a really awesome job last week!

My family had a big party recently to celebrate all of our March birthdays, as well as the fact that I made it back from Chile safely after the earthquake. My mom got to come in from Texas, and I had a great time catching up with everyone. All of my kid cousins are still cute as can be, and growing fast, especially the little ones! Kyle played some songs for everyone on his guitar, including a rendition of Old McDonald that was a huge hit with the kiddos. My family even got me an earthquake cake, check it out! I think it was almost as cool as Lane’s Buzz Lightyear cake.
