I’m about to go on a long journey.  But first, a visit to my mom’s house… saw this wicked sunset from the Amtrak window.  I wonder if the sky gets this crazy in the southern hemisphere too…

And so am I!  Margaret and Reese hosted a surprise birthday party for my good friend Angela the other night.  The food was great, we heard a lot of tall tales, and fun times were had by all.

After a very long and chaotic autumn, it was wonderful to get snowed in and slow down with my family for Christmas.  I have been so busy trying to keep up with all of the rapid changes in my life over the last month or so that Christmas was the first time I got to play around with my new camera.  Luckily I have more than a few adorable kid cousins willing to let me follow them around with my lenses…
